Services
Repairs and maintenance to strata buildings, commercial properties and homes, from a single leak to multi-storey gutter and painting works.
Roofs, gutters and eaves
Most water damage starts at the roof line. We find where it's getting in, repair or replace what has failed, and make good the eaves, ceilings and paintwork it has damaged on the way down.
Typical work
- Replacing rusted or angled roofing screws, fatigued Dektites and failed flashings
- Replacing fatigued gutters, stop ends and spouts, and reconnecting downpipes
- Repairing rotten timber fascias, barge boards, eaves and quad moulding
- Replacing cracked roof tiles, repointing, and resecuring slipping valley tiles
- Scaffolding for multi-storey gutter lines
- Priming and painting in computer-matched paint
Balcony and bathroom waterproofing
When a balcony or bathroom leaks, regrouting rarely lasts. We take the tiles and bed back to the slab or floor, replace the failed membrane, and retile, with the floor wastes and overflows it needs.
Typical work
- Removing the tiles, cement bed and failed membrane
- Replacing rotten floor and wall sheets
- Primer and a three-coat reinforced membrane to the Australian Standard
- Termination angles under sliding doors
- New tiles, floor wastes, and larger overflows where the old ones are undersized
- Removing and reinstating screens, vanities, toilets and tapware
Water damage, mould and damp
Once the cause is fixed, we repair what it damaged: sagging or collapsed ceilings, water-damaged floors and trims, mould and damp walls. Quotes list this as resultant damage, separate from the repair itself, so you can see what the leak caused.
Typical work
- Resecuring sagging ceilings and replacing water-damaged plasterboard
- Cleaning off mould, then sealing and painting
- Treating rising and falling damp
- New extraction fans and roof whirlybirds so it doesn't come back
- Plastering, sanding, sealing and painting throughout
- Replacing water-damaged trims, reveals and joinery
Concrete cancer and rust
Concrete cancer gets worse the longer it's left. We remove the loose concrete, clean and treat or replace the rusted reinforcement, rebuild and render, and paint the repairs to match. Where there's an engineer's report, we work to its specification.
Typical work
- Removing loose concrete back to sound material
- Grinding and wire-brushing the rusted reinforcement
- Zinc-rich primer and two epoxy coats to the steel
- Rebuilding the concrete and rendering
- Treating rusted steel columns before they need replacing
- Painting repaired areas in UV-stable, colour-matched paint
Stairs, decks and balustrades
A failing stair is a safety problem as much as a repair. We fix what can be saved and replace what can't, and deal with the cause, such as moisture under the stair, so it doesn't fail again.
Typical work
- Repairing or replacing failed timber staircases
- Rebuilding loose and sunken concrete steps
- Ventilation where trapped moisture is the cause
- Replacing fatigued timber decks and air conditioning plant decks
- Removing and reinstating glass balustrades
Renovations and building works
As well as repairs, we take on building works for homeowners and businesses. Where practicable, we work like for like, with due consideration for the existing character and appearance of the property.
Typical work
- Kitchen and bathroom renovations
- Driveway and pedestrian gates and fencing
- Driveways, paving and drainage
- Alfresco areas and outdoor works
Also
Urgent make-safe repairs, drainage and paving, glazing, painting, ventilation and general maintenance.
